For those of you who have not travelled to Spain before, and after a long flight and in need of sleep, I would recommend the comforts of hotel accommodation if you decide to stay in Madrid before heading down to Granada. In a capital city, safety is also a key factor in choosing where to stay and the fact that hotels have a ground floor entrance and the main door is never closed, make them a safer option when going back to the hotel to sleep after dark. The hotel I recommend, for its comfort, situation and price/quality ratio is:
