Here are just a few ecological web sites you might find interesting. Each of these has lots of links to additional sites.
Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Species of Concern - this site has links to information about many Washington species that are endangered, threatened, or being watched closely. For some of the species, there are detailed reports available, and this is where some of your focal species links go.
Ecological Society of America - the premier professional ecological organization in the US. This site has lots of links to other great ecological information
Ecology WWW page - this page seems to have links to every ecological web site possible. It is updated regularly and you should just scan through to see what's here.

We'll talk about the original Hubbard BrookLong Term Ecological Research Network - clearinghouse for information on research opportunities and research done at these designated on-going research sites across the US.
