A La Carte Meal Plans

A La Carte is an individualized program allowing you to choose your own food items rather than being restricted to a specific menu. You pay only for what you choose to eat instead of paying for an entire meal you may not finish. You select the type of fare that suits your budget and appetite. You are also eligible for a refund if you do not use all meal plan points. Points are the method used to purchase food. Food is priced at the wholesale cost of the food items. The point cost also includes condiments. The method of pricing is used to enhance the students' educational experience by helping the learn more about the cost of foods and how to budget food expenses. We recognize that students have varying dining needs. With that in mind, we offer a variety of meal plans:

  • The Light Plan is designed for the light eater who eats smaller quantities or who may eat less than three meals per day.
  • The Medium Plan is sufficient for many customers who might be termed "middle of the road" eaters.
  • The Hearty Plan is designed for the customer who eats more often, and snacks on a more frequent basis.
  • The Mega Plan is intended for the regular and discretionary dining needs of the student that will spend the majority of their time on campus.  This plan is also offered for students in athletic programs where a higher caloric intake may be desired.
  • The Off-Campus Plan is designed for students living off-campus. Has the same point carry-over and refund privileges as other plans.

Students who live in the residence halls, Union Avenue housing and Langlow House are required to purchase an on-campus Light, Medium, Hearty or Mega meal plan each semester.
