COMMENCEMENT BAY ROWING CLUB BOATHOUSE ON AMERICAN LAKE

Commencement Bay Rowing Club Boathouse on American Lake

The University of Puget Sound's Men's and Women's Crew teams row on American Lake and share the new boathouse with Pacific Lutheran and Commencement Bay Rowing Club. The 1998-1999 season marked our first full year in the newly-built boathouse facility at Harry Todd Park located 15 minutes south of campus on American Lake. American Lake is a beautiful 4-mile long lake lined with evergreen trees and private homes. The lake provides miles of rowable water and magnificent sunrise & sunset views of Mt. Rainier.

Directions to American Lake Crew Boathouse
From Interstate 5

Take exit 123, the Thorne Lane exit, off of I-5. Head west (left from the south, right from the north) and proceed over the railroad tracks. You will be on Thorne Lane. Follow this road straight ahead. As the road begins to curve to the left, take an immediate right onto Thorne Lane. Harry Todd Park will be ahead on your right. Follow the chain link fence to the main entrance on the right.
